Course Description

Have you always wanted to write a novel or short story? Like any other craft, creative writing is something you can learn. Whether you want to pen that novel, write a collection of stories, or simply engage more actively with your creative side, this is the course for you.

In this class you will learn the techniques of storytelling, how to channel creativity, and where to find ideas. You will acquire the tools to construct narratives and the methods to engage readers. Each week, we will outline techniques and examine examples from the literary canon in the first hour, while the second hour will be dedicated to applying these techniques to your own writing. There will also be an opportunity to share some of your work if you wish.

To be held via Zoom
